Hi Errol
Its Ann in Townsville. My little boy Nicholas has been hardly able to walk
for the last few days also. He had started on 4 pronged sticks (which is
pretty amazing for a 3 year old) but has been hardly able to use his walker
even. I wonder if he is developing an infection or a dreaded relapse. He
has done this a couple of times over the last 2 years and has bounced back
with a bit of improved function after. Lets hope it happens to the both of
you this time.

I have been feeling a bit down because the physios have said that often
with small children they get around for a while with walkers and sticks but
when they get bigger and heavier their little legs cant handle it and they
end up in a wheelchair. I suppose we are clinging to more medical
breakthroughs over the next 10 years and wait with anticipation for each
posting on the list from Bob about research progress and clinical trials.

By the way we have joined our local para/quad group and we will be going to
a morning tea next week.
Bye Ann
