Hello everyone,

I received last week my information packet and membership from Sandy and the
org. Reading all of the stories in there are just heart wrenching. It
brought tears to my eyes, but then admire all of the fortitude and strength.
I still do not know if I have TM from the cervical lesion they found or if I
just have a nerve problem in my lumbar area. Sometimes I think it is just
from nerve damage -- I do not recall any rapid onset of symptoms. I was hit
by a van, and have had problems since. But other times I read symptoms some
of you have and mine are the same. One symptom described in the newsletter
made me gasp! I am at work and do not have the newsletter here, but a woman
said she has this symptom that she knew of no one else having. Well she's not
alone! She said when she puts her chin to her chest, she gets this electric
feeling from her head all the way to her feet. I believe this was the symptom
that cause my neurologist to have me get a thoracic and cervical MRI. He
said there is something else going on here. My other neuroligist made me feel
like I was nuts (and he is the head of the MS clinic here!) I will write
Sandy separately, so this woman knows there is someone else out there.

I have started some PT last mid-week. So far, it does not seem to be helping
much. Maybe it is too early. My main symptom is tingling in my legs, and
occassionally in my arms. My strength appears to be okay. Some time ago,
(maybe a year and a half?) I was having problems walking. It felt like I had
huge balls of cotton under my feet. (I had to go buy new shoes!) This lasted
a couple months. My previous neurologist did not seem interested. I read
where some people talk about their feet feeling like blocks. Has anyone else
had "cotton feet"? It is frustating for me having this minor symptoms
compared to what many of you have gone through, yet that they exist and there
is no specific diagnosis. I wonder if I had my onset when I had the cotton
feet, and that, except for the numbness, have improved over time without
knowing what it was I had.

Just venting....
Thanks for listening
My prayers are with you all,
Nancy
