I have been looking around the Web for information the past few weeks
(which is how I found this list). My six-month old son developed
transverse
myelitis four weeks after getting the oral polio vaccine last June. The
doctors all claim it was not due to the vaccine, but I have always been
suspicious. After reading the above article, I am even more suspicious.
Galen, my son, was perfectly healthy before getting this vaccine.
Although
he has come back a long ways (he was paraplegic for several weeks), he
is
still not walking and the neurologist now says he will probably never
walk
"normally", although he will walk.
I think this is probably a far greater problem than the medical
community
is willing to admit. How many cases of this goes unreported? How many
occur
months, years, decades after receiving the vaccine?
Incidentally, there is a National Vaccine Information Center
(800-909-SHOT)
which is a non-profit organization in Vienna, VA. I haven't called them
yet, but will. They apparently "can assist those who have suffered
adverse
reactions" and can provide info on "your legal rights if your child is
injured by a vaccine."
If you find (or know of) other info/resources on a possible link between
TM
and the oral polio vaccine, can you share them?

Mr. Hlavsa in your post you didn't mention if your son recieved any
other preventive treatments or vaccinations other than Oral Polio.
Question: Did he recieve any other treatments? i.e Chicken Pox,
