I get that electric jolt all the time. I'm not quite sure what it is named.
I also get electric "attacks" where my extremeties get weak, numb and
vibrate something awful. I had such a bad attack a few weeks ago that I am
now taking Neurontin every 3 hours. It doesn't prevent these attacks but
makes them less severe. I was told that this phenomenon is due to the
electric impulse coming down the spine, only to short-circuit where the
inflammation is. Mine is at the C5. Carolyn, I get a lot of the same
sensations you do. My hands are always numb. It's only been 3 1/2 months
for me. Does it get any better?
