Hi Bryan,

I was diagonesd with TM in Sept 1995 after having a week long cold or
flu. My TM left me completely paralyzed from the T7 T8 area down. Its been
over a year
and I have not gotten ANYTHING back. The doctors tell me my injury was
complete
and that I probably will not regain any use of my lower extremities if I
hav'nt gotten
anything back by now. I have had on going problems with spasm in my lower
back and legs and maxed out on oral baclofen and had a baclofen pump
inplanted
this last Oct 96, I'm in the process of getting the right amount of baclofen
to help relieve my spasm and return to rehap. I have a ongoing problem with
stinging and burning in my butt and left leg which keeps me from sitting long
periods in my chair.
My doctors have all heard of TM but have never before me seen or treated
anyone with TM! I would like to talk with anyone who has had TM and had a
"complete"
diagones and has regained any movement in their extremities.
