Re: I have enjoyed the stay, but goodbye to all

My name is Gerard and I'm from Melbourne, Australia.
I do not have TM. I joined this group because a very dear friend of mine
contacted TM last Christmas and I thought that whatever information this
group could provide may have been of help to her. She has been left a
paraplegic and in all probability will never walk again. For almost 11
months she has been in a rehabilition hospital doing physio at every
opportunity in an effort to regain as much independence and mobility as
possible.
She was recently diagnosed as having MS; a disease she knew she had a
high chance of contracting. Once this diagnosis was confirmed the
hospital sent her home.
Howvere, she does not want to belong to a support group (or a news
group) and is seeking a life where she will be as independent as
possible. She does not want to let TM take over her life.
I have enjoyed reading the messages and at one time looked forward to
any new messages. However, now I just feel like an eavesdropper or
snooper. Like someone peeping through a keyhole. I cannot contribute and
my friend does not want the information or the stories so its time me to
go.
I notice that there has been a bit of infighting lately. Please don't
let it consume you. I think this group is a wonderful concept and I
found some of your stories inspirational. Perhaps the time will come
when the data provided by this group will of real benefit for the
treatment of TM, perhaps even its cause.
My sincere best wishes to you all. I hope that there is a silver (gold
preferably) lining on each of your clouds.

Gerard

Jim, please remove me from the list.
