My husband rented from our local video store a tape about MS. It was made for
public service and was therefore free. I found it most informative, and saw
the similarities between TM and MS. They said scar tissue forms (in the
myelin) which I assume is what my radiologist meant when he said he saw what
might be "MS plaques" in the MRI of my spine. I understood from the video
that the scarring permanently interupts the neural transmissions in MS, but
wonder if scarring does not occur in TM. Is that why there is some recovery
in some TM patients?
