I thank all of you who responded...every single message was helpful.
And, yes, it is good to know I am not alone! I saw my gastro. dr. today
and he did order a more complete gallbladder test. I think we are all
hoping this explains the appetite loss and nausea. He still seems stuck
on the TM idea, but does admit that even with tm, the medications he has
given me (Librax, Prilosec, Fibercon) should have helped more than they
have.
I was interested to read that some of you have also encountered a lack
of knowledge about this syndrome. I have been able to find so little
info. and when the nurses and doctors asked what was wrong and I told
them, I just got a blank look (ok...most drs pretended to know .. lol).
I know when the paralysis first occurred, the doctors then told me it
was "impossible to have a lesion cause weakness in both legs." ahem!
I was also interested to hear Errol mention no hunger. That has been
one of the most puzzling and frustrating effects of the tm...I am glad
to know I am not alone, again.
I have to say thans yet again. I was actually looking forward to
logging on to see if anyone responded. It can get rather lonely
sometimes and its great to hear from all those friendly voices out
there!
