Jane - good question, and one we have pondered before. I usually think of
it as TM affects one site on the spine. Another name for a demyelinating
lesion is a sclera. If you have multiple lesions, you have Multiple
Sclerosis. Probably too simplistic, since even if you do have multiple
lesions over time the docs are hesitant to label it MS. Ann
