Hi Mykella! ŸÀŸ
Welcome to the list! So sorry to hear of your problems... but there is one
great thing... You are NOT alone....For years I felt so different, and so very
much alone. It seemed the docs didn't know much about TM, and that left me
feeling quite frustrated. It seemed they were learning from me. But since
I've found this list, suddenly I have learned more about TM than in all the
years prior, due to the extraordinary people I've found here. Now I can more
carefully distinguish what is a TM sympton, and what is more possibly a lupus
system. And have actually found answers for TM problems that the docs haven't
been able to solve. (ie constipation) The going joke with my docs was that I
needed dynamite....because NOTHING moved me....(hehehe!) Now, here, I even
found a safe over the counter remedy at Wal-Mart that works for me. AMAZING!
This was such a blessing...finally finding answers to simple problems.

As for your recent abdominal problems, this struck me as interesting. I have
had incredible abdominal problems for years. My internist can't press on my
stomach without drawing tears and tremendous pain. This has gone on for
years. However, we have always attributed this to another symptom of lupus,
as I have incredible inflammation throughout my body caused by the SLE. This
severe inflammation turned a normal gallbladder removal into a tremendously
difficult, tedious surgery.

Also, I have some episodes of vomitting....every 15 minutes... that can
literally go on all day. This is very difficult, because I can't even keep
water down. This occurs quite often, and my family has gotten quite used to
it... (I haven't yet!) The strange thing is that the gallbladder and the
liver are what make up bile...Without the gallbladder, I was told, I would
have less bile. However, during these episodes, I can literally lose 5 lbs
thoughout the day---all bile. I wonder how many others with TM have
experienced anything like this? But because my disease is so advanced, I have
so many complications---I've learned to label it lupus... maybe I've been
wrong. Could it be a part of TM I wonder?

Please feel free to turn to the list for anything. I can assure you, the
friends you meet here are always available to listen with their hearts. It has
truely become a place I call home. Welcome home!
