Could anyone help me with the name of the drug that helps to calm the restless
legs syndrome?.... I know I have seen it before, but just can't remember the
name of it.....Also, is this a new drug, or has it been around for quite some
time?... Would you also know what family of drugs it is in, as she has many
many drug allergies?
I feel so helpless, as the docs are telling her she just needs to relax and it
is not caused by anything but her own anxiety...Don't ya just love this? The
doctors answer to questions they don't have answers for! To top it off, they
have called in a team of shrinks to evaluate her condition. She is angry that
no one is hearing her... I can't blame her. I'd be furious!
I'm certain our internist would prescribe the "restless" drug for her, if he
only knew what it was, as he is very openminded to suggestions, and
understands our disease is something that ya have to "practice medicine" on.
Additionally, he is NOT the one who ordered the new battery of psych tests...
Would you believe it is a new doctor that has been on her case for all of 3
weeks, because her doctor of 15 years has stopped doing hospital visits?!...
AMAZING!
Thank you for any help you can give me on this... As I know she and her
husband are hungry for answers to this syndrome.
