Me, too!
Here is the note I sent to the person in charge:

To: jdobbs(AT)ix.netcom.com

Someone sent the information below to me, and I would like to nominate Jim
Lubin. He contracted Transverse Myelitis several years ago (about 9 years ago,
I think) and was left paralyzed from the neck down and dependant on a
ventilator to breath. Someone worked with him to develop a way to use a
computer using a sip-and-puff method, and he has begun the Transverse Myelitis
Internet Club (www.myelitis.org/tmic) for others afflicted with disease, set
up and maintains the Transverse Myelitis Association web page
(www.myelitis.org). Many who write to the TMIC club say over and over how
wonderful it is to find others with this disease, to not feel alone, to have a
place to ask questions, compare notes, and receive support. Plus both of these
web sites contain numerous helpul links which Jim is always adding to. He also
set up and maintains a disABILITY web page
(http://www.eskimo.com/~jlubin/disabled/) and as well as other helpful web
sites. His home page is at http://www.eskimo.com/~jlubin/. He was featured in
articles in Healthweek (http://www.healthweek.com/features/ahfeat4.html), SCI
Now, Illinois Chapter
(http://www.eskimo.com/~jlubin/disabled/tmic/6/0126.html), and Yahoo Internet
Life (http://www.zdnet.com/yil/content/mag/9612/touched9612.html) (some of
these tell his story more fully). Many times people have expressed admiration
and thanks to Jim for his accomplishments for the benefit of others. In
addition, in what contact I have had with him, he maintains a sunny, cheerful
disposition. I hope you will consider him as a nominee.

Sincerely,
Barbara Harper
