In defense of physical therapy, which I believe helped me a great deal, I
think they do help us to be active and mobile at a time when we cannot on our
own yet. I think the exercises the therapist did with me and then taught me
how to do on my own, when I was able, did keep my muscles active and mobile
and did strengthen them.
