Has anyone read Angela's Ashes? Many times through the book, when someone is
dealing with a hardship, they said "Give it up to the Lord". I am not a
particularly religous person, but I feel the sentiment is to let God help you
bear your burdens, which I think can mean many things. That is what I was
always brought up with.
