TMERS:
I was diagnosed with acute encephalomyelitis/transvers myelitis.
Do any of you have any info regarding Medical Negligence in respect to
delayed diagnosis, hence treatment. It was suggested to me by two neurologists
that my symptoms would have been far worse had i not received treatment nine
days after i sought a diagnosis; and that they would have been far less had i
been treated properly by the first medical group that i sought aid from, who
thought i was suffering from Lymes disease. I am in the New York area and am
looking for an attorney that i might consult with and wonder about precedents
that may have occurred in this area.
Thank You for your time.

PS my regular local Neurologist [i received a second confirming diagnosis at
the St Agnes hospital for Multiple Sclerosis in White Plains NY] said that
full recovery is expected considering my progress, after 1 year and 5 months,
but if ever any symptoms were to begin to reappear i should immediately seek
therapy with prednisone as this was what stopped the progress of the disease,
and allowed the delayed healing to occur; i was on prednisone only 3 months.
It is expected to be another 6 months before i appear, at least, free of
obvious paralysis or restrictions in my gait.
