I believe that you have to keep fairly steady levels of neurontin for it
to be really effective. My doctor had me continue to gradually increase
doses until I was at a level where the pain was reduced but the side
effects were acceptable. It can make me sleepy, especially if I get
over tired anyway. It does make my life more tolerable, and I doubt I
could have continued working without it. Ann
