Yes, the neurontin is for pain. It's funny you ask
if I can take it only as needed for I didn't ask the
neurologist that question. He did tell me I could
take 3 or 4 300mg daily depending on the pain.
And he did tell me I could go off it when cool wea-
ther came if I no longer had the intense pain. I see
him again in November so won't know til then if it
can be taken only as needed. That's the way I pre-
fer also, that's how I did the Tylenol--I don't want any
more med that I have to.
