As I recall, the ADA requires that these parking spaces be provided by both
private and governmental entities. At any time there is construction at or
near the parking location or handicapped entrance, there must be provided
alternate provisions for accommodation.

I think this would apply to the LA City. If they want to sweep the street and
doing so proscribes or limits designated parking for the handicapped, then
alternative parking must be made available.

Just some of my ramblings....I will have more, you can count on it. Even if I
have to lQQk up the darned ACT and give you a legal memo on it.

One thing more, you might look at the California laws and regulations in this
matter as well. I understand they are quite extensive and have some pretty
good rules in the ADA area.
