Hey people;
I just had a very strange experience. I just received the news letter,
and while perusing the list of members, I happened across the name of a woman
who lives about 5 miles from me. I called her to inquire as to how she is
doing, and to ask if she had a computer, all the pertinent info. She refused
to talk to me. Blatantly told me that it was none of my business, and she
didn't talk about it. Sounds to me like she's ashamed of having a disability.
In fact, she told me outright that she doesn't associate with people who are
disabled, it makes her feel sub-human. Anybody else feel like this? Apparently
she's pretty mobile.
