Hi Susan ,
Welcome. You have found a great group of people here with lots of information
and support. I am sorry that you had to find us but glad you did find us.
It is not uncommon to run into a gammut of "incompetent" DR.s when you have
TM. I believe a handful of us have gone through something similar to you.
In the onset, I was told I had a wicked flu and an allergic reaction to some
antibiotics I was on. My symptoms started last year and I had been telling my
neuro all along the symptoms. He just couldn't see past the epilepsy to treat
the TM. He finally DXed me in April of this year. Only to say in his AR
reports that he "assumed" I was being treated for TM. Just read all you can
about TM, then you can work WITH your neuro to be treated properly.
It is wonderful that you have a supportive family. It will help you in the
short and long of this.
Keep us up to date on the MRI of the brain.
