Update - No neck surgery

Hi All - I wrote a while back that an MRI had found that my original
myelitis lesion (Nov, 94) was shrinking but that I have a bulge at C5-6.
My neuro was quite concerned, since there was some compaction of the
cord, and told me to see the neuro surgeon who did a biopsy on the
myelitis lesion to rule out cancer. Anyway, the surgeon was on
vacation, so I had to wait a few weeks. Of course, I was cool, calm and
collected and not freaking out at all.....

I finally saw the surgeon last Weds - and he said surgery wasn't
required. Just have another MRI in a year, and tell the doctors if I
start having pain in my shoulder and arm. I love it when a surgeon
doesn't want to cut.

I was supposed to meet my mom in Minnesota (where I'm from) on Thursday
for an annual family and friends get together. With the NorthWest pilot
strike on, I decided not to go, but it was a bummer. It turns out to be
a good decision, since my husband is now scheduled for an angiogram
tomorrow (Tuesday), which is the day I was supposed to return to
California. We are a pair,,,,Ann
