Whoa! Slow down!! Cancer in the prostate is readily
cured by surgery. I know the fear you have, but let's
put a positive spin on this instead "possibly several
surgeries"! One surgery and it's ok is a better outlook.
I'm not just talking through my hat, either...Last summer
just after school was out and his retirement began, my
hubby's bro-in-law went for his annual urology check-up
and found out that he had cancer of the prostate. Fur-
ther pre-surgery work-up showed heart irregularity which
had to be corrected before surgery was possible(he has
already lived 13 years beyond bypass surgery which 'gave'
him 5 more yrs). He finally had the surgery in the fall and
is now cancer free.
Despite the tm, your Bill can make good progress against
the cancer. Please for his sake and yours, take a positive
attitude and give yourselves a better chance to win this bat-
tle!! I don't mean to make you think that I don't understand
the fear you are living with now, I do. I am just saying that
you must present an aggressive attitude toward the cancer,
don't let the cancer get you before you have even started the
treatment!
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keep us updated as
to Bill's treatment and condition.
Sincerely, JanH
