transverse myelitis and cancer

Hi everyone,

Well, I hate to post something like this, and I didn't even ask
Bill's permission this time, but I am so scared that I figure I will go
ahead, here.

Bill went to the VA Hospital Friday and found out his prostate biopsy
came back that it was cancer. I am assuming there can be almost no
mistakes on something like that. His PSA count had been high since
1993. We are so scared. This is unexpected--and with all he has to
deal with already--transverse myelitis, being in wheel chair, and so on,
and now maybe a lot of surgeries!!!! I have been frantically on the
internet looking for alternative medicine approaches.

I'm thankful to Photo505(Phil) for that survey a while back. Because
he took the survey, afterwards, I happened to find Bill's older records
dated 1971 - in which the symptoms were the same that are now called
Transverse Myelitis. He says now that he remembers one Doctor mumbling
something about "you walk as though it's your bladder causing the not
walking right."

So, now we even wonder if cancer is causing the whole thing instead
of transverse myelitis - or if this is just "something else." We are
hoping it is transv. myelitis - still - and that the cancer hasn't gone
very far. He looks so healthy! He won't let me post his photo on our
board - but he looks better than 90% of the people over at the
Doctor's....so you wouldn't think he had cancer throughout the
body!!!!!! This is real scarey. But this might explain why he
continually would "pass every test"----if anything was ever found on his
spine, it was never mentioned when I was around. They usually told him
he "passed all the tests." (spinal tap, MRI, and so forth)....

I don't expect an answer on this at all - unless there is someone on
here, maybe even at a future date, who has the same thing. Don't feel
like you have to reply to this. I just posted this for the people into
research. Thanks for listening!!!!!
