Hi all,
Last Saturday I began experiencing episodes of double vision. Monday
morning I saw my opthamologist who immediately contacted my neurologist at
University of Pennsylvania. I saw him Wednesday and he said that my MRI
showed that my TM had now progressed to MS and that I was having an
exacerbation. Yesterday I started at-home IV infusions of sulumedrol at a
very low dose because I have had such bad reactions to almost all the meds
we've tried so far. After the 3 days of IV I'll be on prednisone for twelve
days. Once this exacerbation has passed I'll be starting on Avonex.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for sharing your
experiences. When I first found this group in February it was a God send.
I'd had TM for almost 12 years and you were the best thing that could have
happened to me. I've read your messages every day and responded to some
personally. You'll continue to be in my prayers as I start my "NEW ADVENTURE"
as an MSer instead of a TMer.
Thanks to all.
