Hi Kim,

Your note struck a chord with me -- I got up one Saturday morning to find
tingling and numbness from my waist on down.

To make a long story short, I wound up at Mass General that night, and was
put on a 9-day methylprednisolone (?) IV program. (Plus an impressive
number of diagnostic tests. Sigh.) The tingling had progressed up to my
armpits by the 3rd day or so, but then regressed.

That all happened at the beginning of March of this year. After 6 sessions
of PT, and daily 1-2 hour exercise sessions, I'm "well enough" to walk at a
reasonable pace, and work all day. My right leg still has minor numbness,
and the waistband comes and goes. I tried jogging, but that felt just a
little clumsy. Likewise, bowel & bladder work well enough.

Please let me know if there's any support I can offer,

/andy
