Hi you all, quite an interesting discusion going on tonight. I don't
have anything profound to say, but I have lived with TM for over
seventeen years and I'll give from my experience in both hot and cold
climes. I'll take the hot any day over the cold. In No.MI. the cold made
it almost impossible to walk after getting really chilled. It took a
long time to get back going again. The hot weather is mainly just
uncomfortable to be or in the case of taking certain meds that can make
you photo=sensitive the heat can make you have rashes and burning
sensations. My level is C7 and right now I feel like i'm on fire from
between my shoulders to my low back.

I have never had a Dr. ever tell me that I was have a recurrance of TM .
They just said you have it and these are the problems you will have to
live with. I have had all the frustrations that I you say and have had a
lot more of my own. Some of you mentioned stress, that is a killer for
TMer's. I have also had a lot of trouble with falls, After a fall it
takes two or three days brfore the pain and lack of mobility are back to
the normal level which is not to good at best. Another thing I need to
avoid is an argument with my wife LOL. I can't win anyhow. HaHa. You
guys know what I mean LoL.

For what it is worth I think what some of you may think you having
asrecurring TM is just going through one of different phases that this
has for us. When I first came down with this they said that every change
was good even if it did not feel that way. They also said that what I
had at two years would be what I lived with. I have had a lot ups and
downs and what I have now is some of the natural wear and tear of
getting old.

Haven't been very cheerful have I? Like some one said a bit a go for a
long time until I found you all I felt all lone. Ken

And the answers encountered here are to be taken
with a grain of salt --- including my contributions.

Helpful, yes; gospel truth, not usually. Nonetheless,
the collective experience here does outclass the
scant knowledge of most doctors that we have. Just
don't take it as gospel.

Alton, who is still learning
