Hello everyone and welcome back Sharon. It was nice of you to share your
toothpaste with that big ole' bear. Like you had a choice anyway huh! LOL! Boy
girl everyday is adventure thar in AZ. Good story to tell the grand kiddies.
Well, not real sure where to start here right now except to say I am pretty
much back where I started, These neuros are a weird lot up here in NY. But I
guess that is true anywhere. If it is not something they cannot see, like a
pinched nerve or herniated disk it is stand back and punt.
That was the case with my epilepsy also for 21 years. That is how long it went
undetected. It didn't show up on the tests and they said it was in my head.
DUH! LMAO! Anyway, the new neuro now thinks I have Chronic fatigue Syndrome.
Well I just don't believe it folks. I have done research and 2 of my very good
friends have it and I just don't fit the patterns. When I told my GP on Friday
he shook his head and smirked. He ordered PT for me for the disk, thank God,
and is just as frustrated as I am. LOL, the new neuro does not want to see me
again as he kept stressing to me that he specializes in MS over and over and
over. He set me up with an appt. for this CFS clinic in October like the 3rd
week. Okie dokie. I am sweraing off neuros for a while. BTW he ordered the
same gammut of blood work the GP ordered a while back. The GP shook his head
at that too.
I do have a Q for you guys though. When I first had the onset I was taking an
Antibiotic for a so called tooth infection. Then I got this rash okay. Not
like an allergic reaction as I have had them before to antibiotics, there was
no swelling but my neck, arms, chest, back of hands, and body burned from the
inside out. I got these pox like rashed on said places okay. I went to the ER
and they placed me on IV steroids for a few hours or more. Would this have
reduced the spinal cord swelling? I need to know the answer to this one before
Tuesday because I am going to talk with one of the neuros about a few things
that are weighing heavy on my shoulders. He is the guy that told me that my
spinal cord was slightly swollen, and thought for sure he would find me
"loaded" with MS.
One thing I have to say, I felt great being on those IV steroids folks. the
next day when after the steroids where out of my system the burning and rash
returned just not as bad.
Well, LMK am very interested in what you all have to say here. Bob, I know you
have tons of knowledge about this, any way the neuro on the board can answer
this one too?
