I was gone from the list for a few weeks (3?) because we went on a camping
vacation and I didn't want my mailbox to be completely overloaded when I got
back. We went camping in the high country of Arizona. Hawley Lake is a
beautiful lake in the White Mountains...I really enjoyed the cool weather and
the pines. We were going to stay for 11 days but we had to come home after 7.
My grandkids all caught colds and I am afraid of getting sick. The last
morning we were there, I woke up and was more numb than usual and had a very
hard time walking. My son was concerned about me and about his sick kids so
he decided that we should come home. I was so tired after we got home that I
vegged out for a whole week. I enjoy camping, but I wonder if should go
anymore. Maybe for fewer days.... I hate to spoil the trip for my family,
you know?
Anyway....I DID have a bear in camp. They were having a problem with a big,
old black bear who had lost his fear of people. He may not have feared me,
but I was scared of him! The second night in the mountains, I heard the bear
walking behind my tent. Then he came up and started sniffing and snorting
RIGHT behind my head. I stayed very still, and he went on. We had put all of
our food in the truck before bed, of course, so he couldn't find anything to
eat. Except my tube of toothpaste--he punctured it all over. At least he had
nice, fresh breathe!
The heat is affecting my MS but I'm doing okay overall. The Avonex really
seems to be working for me!
How is everyone? What's going on with all of you? I'm looking forward to an
update....
