Gunny, Does Dr. Kerr treat patients or only do research? I am getting
desperate to find a neuro who believes that there are continuing problems
after your initial recovery or that there could even be regression. I had
my first full day at the Center for Rehabilitative and Behavorial medicine
today. I'm to go there 8 hours a day for three weeks. This is a little too
much, way too late. (9 years!) I'm furious. It's hogwash mainly. I
believe in positive thinking, it has brought me a long way. Total mind
control is another altogether. There is some good pool therapy and a little
physical therapy(I've had much better elsewhere) but we are not allowed to
even tell them what hurts or how little sleep we had or to see another Dr.
untill we finish the program or even miss a day or leave early or be
kickeds out of the program. Their goal for me is work hardening! They
set that goal before I got there. My neuro is their consulting Dr. and
they said he likes to see his patients go to work as soon after an
injury???? as possible. I think having worked since 6 months after TM
9years ago up until LOA 4 months ago should count. My GP put me on LOA
due to PAIN.,PAIN, PAIN,
SPASMS, FATIGUE AND FALLS combined with my declining health in other
areas. He treats me about 2 times a month and the neuro only sees me 3
times a year.
I need help from anyone in finding a neuro who knows more about TM's
ongoing problems
especially the pain and fatigue. I am willing to go just about anywhere
and my GP will referr me.
Respond please.
Drema
