Hello All:

Doc is in need of some help. To make a
short story long it (my problem) began on
my birthday in April. A problem with who,
with what you ask? (Gunny's already guessed)
The Veteran's Administration of course and
ultimately the Chief of Medicine. The original
problem was that they discontinued my homemaker
services because my disabilities, TM and bilateral
leg amputations, were NSC (Non Service Connected)

yadayadayadayada (a bunch of stuff I decided to edit
out.

I had a complete neurological workup by the aforementioned
Chief of Staff in May. He did take two plus hours but.....
Three weeks ago I began looking for the report he wrote.
Not in my file. Not in the Computer. I requested a copy at
his office. The next day I received an undated, hand written
report. Reading was going fine and it was accurate until he
got to his impressions. The short of it was that he felt that I
needed more rehabilitation and that (Now he hits a nerve)
I had not reached my maximum vocational potential. aaaaah.
I can tell you why if you'd like..later.

Fast forward to this past Thursday when I had a chance encounter
with the Chief. The initial conversation had to do with his not
authorizing at OT evaluation at my apartment to determine if I
could get by without the homemaker. It was taking him a long time
to dig in the computer and he made a few under the breath comments.
I finally said to him that as I read it when one has TM they are
easily fatigued. He said "NO". I went on to say that TM was
related to MS. He responded with an unequivocal "NO", they
are not related. I shut up. I think I'll get the OT evaluation but
his response must be handled. I reviewed Dr. Levy's article and
his references go back to the MS article. What I need are testimonials
that your neuro told you that MS and TM were related and that the
fatigue factor is true. I hope that some of you may have published
citations that I can forward to the "learned" doctor. Be sure to include

the Doc's affiliations like Gunny's cousin at John's Hopkins.

Just a little bit more. Jim has said he would put up the information
related to treating physicians, etc. I am volunteering to collate this
information and provide it to Jim to put on-line as another resource.
I have made up a short questionnaire which I will post separately.
Looking forward to hearing from all of you.
