Hello All! I hope this finds everyone in some amount of wellness!
Anyway, I am affected my TM in my left foot and this makes it almost
impossible to drive since I could not press down on the clutch for
longer than a minute. I was wondering if any of you have standards and
what you have done. Can standards be adapted to fit a disabled person??
Any advice would be helpful! Thanks ever so much!

Hi Kim,
Apparently, some kind of conversion enabling usage of a clutch peddle, with
your left leg impairment, will not be real easy to find. I've checked locally
and the internet and had no luck. Several years ago, when I was temporarily
disabled from a motorcycle accident(my left leg being severely injured), I
rigged my clutch peddle to operate in conjunction with an old hood release
mechanism. I mounted the hood release catch to the correct height on my
floorboard and secured the operating handle to within easy reach. I only
activated it as necessary. Like you, I could use the clutch, but was unable to
hold it down for any lenghth of time. It worked for me.
Anyway, if you want specifics on how to do it,e-mail me direct. I'll help
anyway possible. Or if possible, could you trade for a car with an automatic
shift?
best regards,
Phil
