Hi Maria,

I noticed at the end of your email that you mentioned that you had pox like rashes on your chest and neck. Are you sure that you don't have shingles. Do they hurt? If they hurt, I would call your doctor and let him know. Judy

Hello My Friends,
I went to my local ER where my Neuro works out of because whoever would be
taking care of me would have access to my records. My neuro is out of the
country. I was there for 9 hours and got sent home. He did not feel there is
anything wrong with me besides stress and told me to stay away from my Aunt
because I do not need to be around someone who is shoving MS down my throat.
She is not folks. The only reason MS came up is because I had been asked by
him if it runs in my family and she said she had been recently DXed with it.
I also told me I do not have a temp although it was 101.1. Said unless it
reaches 102. for an adult it is not considered a temp. He told me I do not
have MS, DUH but wrote on the cart to have a complete work up for MS! Agreed
I was dehydrated but did not put me on an IV or give me water although I asked
and so did my grandmother and Aunt, just told me to drink which I had informed
him that is all I do is drink, tons BTW! To give you the readers digest
version folks because I am literally mentally wiped out from all of this crap,
there was a God send there. A nurse signed on to take my case because she
seen Transverse Myelitis. She is very familiar with it because she worked
with a local doctor who specializes and does research in TM! I got his name
and number and will call on Monday in hopes of getting an appointment ASAP!
When my GP gets back from his vacation I will talk with him about the incident
with his NP and see if he can handle me as a patient and if not so be it I
will go from there. Perhaps I am focusing on the negative here, I don't know,
I just know I don't feel I am being treated properly or that anyone knows what
to do with me. I am sick of hearing you are a complicated case. Yes, I am,
but if you will just listen to me, it is really not that complicated anymore
as I know my body very well. Does complicated scare the medical field or are
they just lazy? A lot of the times I truly believe that because I am a woman,
and trust me here when I say I am not a feminist, that my knowledge becomes
threatening or my symptoms become invalidated. I can be very aggressive but
when I do not feel well or am in a bad space because I am ill, my mental
capabilities are in a fog which does not help me.
I would like to thank all of you, my good friends for all of your words of
strength and encouragement, as well as advice. Gunny, if I had the money I
would be off to Cleveland in a heartbeat my friend! I do go to Rochester for
my Epilepsy and I will be making a phone call on Monday there also. Perhaps
they know something about TM there. I only know they focus on Epilepsy. But
they work close with Cleveland. If you do not mind I will mention the doc's
name that you gave me. Lynn, if it weren't for your words of motivation I
would not have gone to the ER. I did send you another e-mail but I sent it to
the wrong addy so it bounced back. If only I had felt better to be more
aggressive and drove so I could have gone to another ER perhaps the results
could have been different. I do know, no matter what I would have said to
this quack, he would have done nothing. My temp has gone down to 99 but tummy
does still hurt and still feel like I have the flu. Thank God for spell check
or this mail would look like Russian. I mentally feel clearer so whatever is
going on, must be on it's way out. Dry heaved this morning and peed 3 times
yesterday! YAHOO! BTW my peak flow was 250 and it should 550. Was not put
on any meds for it. Breathing has gotten better but cannot do stairs yet.
Folks I was so damned scared that it was another onset. I have everything
exactly the same except for the burning of the skin inside out. Got some of
those pox like rashes on my chest and neck.
Well, this is long enough and again thanks so very much to all of you!
Maria
