The following is a description of a shareware program my dad has written
to help folks keep track of medical expenses.Delete NOW if not
interested-but for taxes and to challenge insurance companies who might
not want to pay, I thought some might be interested. Hey, if we can talk
about products to get rid of our own s***, I thought one to get rid of
the s*** insurers try on us might be helpful....:)

Medical Payment Log

MedPay is a database solution that you can use to track payments of your

family’s medical bills.

Overcome the medical bureaucracy by tracking the cost, authorized
amount, and insurance company payment of medical services?

Be prepared to challenge statements such as,

"The cost of this service is not a part of your Plan."

Be able to tell the insurance company which services need responses.

Overview

• Enter medical service dates, patient, cost, and notes on results

• Enter payment information

• Provide reports, such as;

o Insurance Payment Info (EOB date, amount)

o Net amount still due provider.

o Current Out of Pocket amount (OoP) for patient visit, and total
Oop.

o Deductible status (date range, patient, family)

o Insurance Company Information

• And more…

Sorry about the formating - the lack of, that is -

MedPay is cross platform. i.e. it runs of Intel based systems (like
yours) as well as on Mac OS based systems.

It is a shareware package. The fee is only $35. For the shareware fee,
the user gets access to the program and is able to delete records, edit
the program, write additional scripts, etc.

MedPay uses FileMaker Pro 4 (it runs on v 3, but without portal
sorting. Earlier versions, for v3, used a portal sort workaround. I can
supply the workaround for extra $, but a user really should spend the
money to upgrade to FM Pro v 4.

If enough potential users (about a dozen) chip in about $25 each, extra,

I will get a self running program for them to use so that they will not
have to buy FileMaker Pro to use MedPay.

BTW FileMaker Pro is cross platform and is y2k compliant.

Windows and Access are not - as Bill G has finally admitted. But I
digress (First time, ever!).

Finally, (!) I design custom data bases, and can do it remotely for
those who are interested. The Year 2000 Strategy consulting is best done

on site, but if anyone will pay my travel expenses, I will come to them.
