2 I think of this group much as inmates of a hospital
ward. Between us there is an understanding and set
of shared fundamental concerns that supersede the
inhibitions of external conversations. My note
about Texas catheters, for example, could never be
a topic of conversation at the local barber shop.
Previous stays in the hospital had softened my
inhibitions about talking about various topics.
The three month stay for TM treatment finished off
any remaining inhibitions. Then at home having
young women pull my pants down and swing my legs
into the shower --- cheeeeesh - there can be no
modesty in that situation. And it damn well is
NOT erotic. And I had to have my diaper changed
and a certain anatomy washed by others for four
months. In such a situation one adopts a detached,
clinical view or one goes crazy. Being 63 helps.
I am willing to discuss ANY personal topic except
any negative aspects of my own married life. The
problems of physiology, medicine, and psychology
are the meat of this forum.
3 OK, so much for your embarrassment. I still didn't
answer your question, how to avoid constipation.
I don't know. My problem is rather the opposite.
