Howdy everyone,
I saw an interview today of Hal on This Week in Country Music on TNN.
He was not real clear on exactly how his onset was, was he completely
paralyzed, how long in the hospital, etc. He said that they expected
him to be in a wheel chaai for sometime, but can now walk what seems
on tv to be normal. he has loss of sensation on left? side, but has
strength to plaay the guitar.
at the end of the short intervuiew, the reporter stated that you can
completely recover from tm, but ther are no guarantees. it seemed to
me that the severity, complications, problems, etc. that we all know
toooo well were really not represented. It did not seem like he would
be our chris reeves and get our message out. that was my opinion
anyway.
one thing hal did mention was how his perspective on life has changed.
that is one thing we all have is an appreciation for the small things
in life. we know all too welll that life is a fragile thing and that
tm or worse can happen to anyone at anytime. It's just that WE are
the ones that it DID happen to damit!!!

on a strange coincidence note, I won a trip to nashville in february
to see leean rhimes in concert. it shows that not all my luck is bad!
the ironic thing is that the opening act for that show was.......
that's right! oh come on, i dont have to actually type the name
do I?
