Hi
I, too take baclofen for spasticity, and it works pretty well. I had heard
that other drugs were better. My pharmacist told me that if it works, stick
with it, because the others seem to produce even more fatigue than the
baclofen. I know my daughter had to be on the xanoflex (sp) and she slept a
good part of the time she was on it.
Perhaps he's right.
As for the bladder, I tried all sorts of things, and the side effects
bothered me terribly- esp the one that changed the taste of food(Yuck) The
best one for me is Levsin. You dissolve it under your tongue and it starts
helping very quickly. That helped me get through a day of school, with the
fewest side effects.
The combination of baclofen with bladder drugs causes me fatigue, so I take
Levsin on an "as needed" basis, and wear pads other times when I want to be
very alert.Best wishes in finding the right solution for you! Sincerely, Karen
