MRI

Lynn-
How'dy? I survived the 3-hour MRIs today. The tech couldn't believe that
they did all of the series in one sitting (or lying down) :-) The first
few times I had the MRIs done, the doctors gave me some "happy" pills, but
then I had to find someone to drive me back and forth. A friend told me
that when he had MRI done on his head, he put a bandana over his eyes and
helped him. That's what I've done since and works. I just close my eyes
and first count how many times the thumping noises are and then think of
stuff I have to do. That usually does it. I actually fell asleep when
I've been there for 1-1/2 hours. The tech came in to change the equipment
and I woke up when I felt the thing moving me out. I know, you're probably
wondering how I can sleep through all that noise! I sort of "tune it out"
as I do with my kids at times. I just focus on something and everything
else I can't hear. Pretty Strange, isn't it????

Sorry to hear about your hubby, too. Glad to hear you found Bob. Wish I
could find someone like him. Oh well. God has plans and when He's ready
for me to find the right one, I'll know it. I wasn't looking when I found
my husband - or should I say, he found me. We were in the same aerobics
class at the YMCA. I thought he was with a girl friend at the time and
found out he was LOOKING for a girl friend and picked me. He said he liked
my legs. Too bad my legs don't work too good anymore! :-) LOL.

Well, I better get going. I'll keep you posted on the MRI results. I'll
be going to Iowa tomorrow for a week and be back next Monday. So, I'll ask
Jim or somebody to take me off the list for a week so I won't have a backed
up e-mail list. I'll just have to look at the archives.

By the way, my hubby was a chiropractor, too. He used to give me
adjustments and he helped me. I went to a friend of his but he didn't have
the right touch and went to another and that guy helped me a little. But
now, I'm afraid to go for an adjustment. I know it is pretty silly for me
to think this, knowing what I've learned about chiropractic. I just have
to find someone I can trust completely, you know what I mean? Dan gave me
adjustments when I had the meningitis and it helped greatly with the
headaches - most of the time. There were times that even Rx didn't help.
I sure wish he was here today. He'd know how to talk with the neuros and
other docs.

I'm ranbling again. Gotta go and pack the stuff for tomorrow. I'll catch
you when we get back. Thanks for listening - all of you.
