<<I got into this stuff through a women's group I belong to. We work on
spiritual growth and we experience different new-age healing
techniques. Several of the women do yoga, meditation, psychology, and
energy work. I don't do any of those things on a regular basis,
although I have the intention to 'someday'. Our group meets once a
month and go on retreats one weekend a year. I met Maxine through the
woman who started our group - who had been a therapist to everyone in
the group. Maxine is the energy healer I go to. I met her on a
training weekend to learn how to become more intuitive and to start
learning how to heal myself. The process is called Awareness
Recognition Technique. It's very interesting, but takes time to learn
and practice. I haven't come close to mastering it yet.
What happens is this... the healer is trained to help people heal
themselves by understanding why the disease has manifested in our
body. (There is a subconscious reason.) The healer then helps you
move the energy out of your body that is causing the problem and
filling that energy space with a cleaner energy (from the universal
sun - light energy). The belief is that everything is made out of
energy. The healer is able to see energy and can tell when something
is going wrong in your body. Maxine is very good.
I will share with you some of what she has told me about my problem.
I have been married for 12 years. Not all of which have been happy.
My husband and I don't communicate well. We have 2 sons. I work full
time and so does he. He also works over-time (expected and without
pay) and he plays baseball which takes up 2-3 days a week. I am the
main caregiver for our children. Anyway, part of my problem is the
relationship between myself and my husband. It's like my body is
shutting down so I can't feel anything. The last thing to clear for
me with the TM is pain/pleasure, hot/cold from my armpits down.
Maxine has given me 'homework' to do. Part of my homework was to
think of things I could do for my husband and myself that would show
selfless devotion. I also have to write my husband a letter dealing
with communication and appreciation. In a way, this is deeper
understanding therapy.
I should tell you that I sought Maxine out for help in healing this
problem. The cost to see Maxine for an hour is $90. She's very
caring and understanding - like a therapist. If you decide to go to
someone make sure you are comfortable with them. If you don't feel
any benefits from the work don't go a second time. Don't stop going
because it makes you see something about yourself you didn't know. I
do have to admit I wanted to be further healed than I am. But I
haven't done all of my homework yet either. I am very skeptic about
these types of things. I felt energy movement the first time I worked
with Maxine, so I believe there is something to this. I did get some
confirmation that she sees ailments. I also have fibroid tumors in my
uterus. I asked if she could see them and help me heal those too.
She said yes she could see them, but they're not cancerous. I already
knew that! So it was a type of confirmation for me. She also said
she could help me heal them. I've had them for over 12 years.
The differences I've noticed...When I went to her I was having
difficulty walking. I had shakey bladder/bowel control. And I was
numb from the armpits down with no pain/pleasure, hot/cold sensations.
My TM episode started on May 5th, 1998 - this year. I can now walk
normal. I don't think I could run a race, but I couldn't before the
TM problems. My bladder/bowel are not perfect, but I haven't had any
accidents lately. Somedays I feel more numb and somedays I feel less
numb. I feel like the numbness is getting less, but very gradually.
I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to
ask.
