Lynn-
I forgot about the TB stuff. I'm not sure if there are different kinds of
TB or what, but my infectious disease doctor at the time said to definitely
not get cortizone or other steroids anymore. That is interesting that your
mother-in-law has TB and still getting cortizone shots. Is she still
taking TB meds to this day? I'm off of them now for about 9 years. I've
mentioned this steroid thing to the neuros that I've talked with and they
agreed and put a big mark on my file folder indicating "NO
STEROIDS/CORTIZONE". I think this is why my last neuro gave up on me since
he said steroids can greatly help with the inflammation. And since I can't
have it, he doesn't know what else to do.
I'm still talking to my physical medicine doc about getting the letter out
to my insurance company so I can go to a Neurologist Staff Specialist at
the university here. That's all for now.
