went to a meeting at a hotel recently and they had NO ACCESSIBLE
bathrooms! I had to use one of their empty accessible guest rooms. One
time wouldn't be a real problem but there are several more meetings
planned at this hotel and a convention in August. Since I am a
committee member I have to be there and the idea that I will have to use
a guest room to use the facilities sucks!!! This is part of a major
chain! I plan to talk to their head office to see if they are aware of
the problem and if we can work something out. If it only affected me I
wouldn't be as upset but there are people that may attend the convention
who are handicapped also. These bathrooms are not even good for regular
people (ie those not in wheelchairs) some large size people would have
problems getting through the doors also. Why these companies that are
in the business of dealing with the public don't seem to realize that
they need to make these changes is beyond me!!!
