Hello Diane,
Welcome to the list. You will find great support and vast amounts of info
here. I am sorry to here you are inflicted with this but am glad you found
us. I am semi-new here myself so I do not have the info that the others do,
but I can offer support. My motto is keep a positive mental attitude and that
will be half of the battle.
It is fantastic that you have a supportive family as that will help you.
I am affectd at the t5-6 level and am able to walk and perform my duties as a
mother. At times I get tired and am in pain always. I do not have the tight
banding that some of the others have and have no lesions at all. I have found
that exercise helps me tremendously. I walk and use a fitness flyer. I
started a vitamin therapy about 6 weeks ago. I take 1000 mg of v-c and a
multi vitamin as well as v-e and b-100. This seems to help with my energy
level as it became low at the onset. Also take Zoloft, although not for TM.
I take it to treat PMS and reduce my seizure activity. I have found that it
helps with eliminating some of the "fog" I get in due to TM. Currently take
50 mg of this med, but am going to increase it next week.
Please keep us up to date with all that goes on with you. Nothing here is
trivial!!
Take good care of yourself,
Keep a Positive mental attitude!!!!
Maria
