optic neuritis

I saw the opthamologist this morning. My eyes are not responding correctly to
the light when it is shined in my eyes. One pupil gets bigger instead of
getting smaller. while the other eye behaves correctly. (Bad, bad left eye!)
The doctor said that could indicate that I have had an episode of optic
neuritis in the past. I have to go on July 22nd for a field of vision test.
Have any of you ever had that done? I am wondering about it. My poor eyes
were bloodshot all day...but I am fine and dandy this evening.
