I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself to you all. I was
diagnoised with TM approximately six ago. I started experiencing
sensory problems in my feet and right hand, which soon moved throughout
my body and within a week I was basically numb from the shoulders down.
I also developed motor control difficulties in my legs and right hand,
as well as an extremely painful constriction around my chest. An MRI
showed a lesion at C-3 and I did a 5 day course of IV salumedrol in the
hospital. I continue to have problems with fatigue, l'hermittes,
bladder problems, etc., but I'm not as numb as I was and the motor
control seems to be better. I know I've been lucky as my case is not as
severe as many people, but I still look forward to learning as much as I
can about this condition. And even though everyone around me has been
very supportive, I look forward to talking with people who understand
what this feels like. Thanks for listening.
