Hello David & Mushroo, you talked of how incompetent you feel since tm.
I am a retired pastor and I pastored 5yrs full time and 6yrs part time
as a retiree. Through those years it was almost more than I could do
with the fatigue, pain and bladder and bowel problems. There was nothing
that helped either the fatigue or pain, the bladder and bowels it was
catheter (self) and laxatives.

People did not understand what it was like and they still don't. That
question how are you, or how are things going gets awfully hard to say "
Oh just fine." You just feel like telling them how it is, than they
think you are sick. In the past two years since I am fully retired
because my mind just could not cope anymore with study or presenting a
sermon each week.

The big enemy for tm is stress and fatigue. Anything that puts you under
any excessive stress only makes the pain and mobility worse. Teaching
and preaching are both stressfull and trying make deadlines are killers.

About two months ago I changed neurologists. He has me on neurontan and
pamelor which helps the pain, anxiety and depression. I don't know if
takes the pain away or if it just helps us to tolerate it better. He
also advised trying rid my life of stress. LOL. I don't know if this is
any help , nothing much is , is it.
