I'm lovingly called Mushroo by my daughter- I guess due to the unfortunate
shape of a bad haircut one day!! But my name is Karen.Are you the Sharon that
has MS and was leaving the list but is staying now???
I'd love to chat sometime, regardless. I had to do a double take and check
what I had seen and written and had a laugh as well! ThenI realized that you
just may not be so skinny after all!!
I am a 42 yr old female who has been not so well for 21/2 years. They just
diagnosed me with TM because thay have no evidence of MS and all tests for
other things was negative. I have spastic muscles, bowel/bladder problems,
imbalance and fatigue.
The first dr. thought it might be due to anxiety, the second I saw when I was
much worse and had fallen with injuries twice, thought it might be related to
radiation from 14 yrs ago when I had Hodgkin's lymphoma. A third opinion said
I have possible MS. and my present says TM- The symptoms are spinal cord only
and not brain, the Babinski is on both sides and are symmetrical. The doctor
says that had they known back when it first started, they would have treated
it with steroids (IV) I got bad for 2 years and it did not improve but leveled
offf and I'm presently struggling to be normal. I use a cane to walk and do
half what I used to on good days.
I did start Amantadine for fatigue and I feel much better already!!!Perhaps
I'm crawling out of this deep hole! I'm starting PT tomorrow. Perhaps you read
my story from last week! My heart goes out to those who have severe problems.
I haven't read a story real similar to mine. This is a complicated diagnosis,
and frustrating as well!
I guess I'll look for your story and see if it's in that list. Smile, too!
