called and said the doc wants me to go have protein tests at the lab. His
office gal said he was looking at my spinal tap lab results again and there
was something he wanted to pursue further. I ask what the deal was with
protein but she said she didn't know.
What could this mean? Is this routine?

Could be investigating another course of treatment called "Plasmapheresis."
Filters proteins from the blood. This treatment can be used when corticotropin
or corticosteroid drugs become less effective. Not routine,but new.
