I wanted to mention about my toes that were dx'ed as hammer nail. After
many months of going to the Dr. over this and my toes never healing, he
finally referred me to a 'foot DR.' (can't spell it). The nails have
been removed as of yesterday and now this new Dr. tells me that because
of the infection going on for so long that there is very good
possibility that the infection has gone into the bone. I am having both
feet x-rayed on Monday and seeing him again on Friday. If this has
happened I will most likely lose my toe and or toes. He repeated this
to me about 4 times about losing my toe so I don't think he was giving
me a worst case thing. He was very upset that I had not been referred
earlier. I did call my other Dr.s office and told them what was said.
I think I will have a good case if I do lose my toe, right?
