Bob,
One of the causes of frequent urination is the rate at which the urine
flows into the bladder. I've had many cystometrograms(a series of tests on
the bladder ) and two of the procedures is filling the bladder with a
sterile saline solution through a catheter. One is a slow drip and one is a
fast drip. The bladder will retain more in the slow drip than it does in
the fast drip. The use of diuretics(i.e. caffeine, alcohol and medications
that act as diuretics) can cause frequent urination.
The faster rate can also increase spasticity in the legs.
