Hello everyone,
I hope this letter finds all feeling fairly well. I have been up to my ears
in Teenie beanie hunting and trading so I have been quite lazy with responses
and postings. Sharon I am so proud of you. I knew you could do it. I have
tried to keep up on some of the readings and please forgive me but I cannot
remember all that I did read. On top of the beanie hunting, I have had flair
ups for a couple of weeks now. The pain irritates me. The rashes are
annoying. But hey I can walk. Please allow me to keep everyone up to date on
my spinal tap and some other stuff. Phil, thanks for lending an eye, LOL,
with my probs with my daughter. Much appreciated!
Okay here goes! The LP came back negative, YAHOO! I am told it could
progress in to MS in the future and because my Aunt was recently diagnosed
with MS, the percentages raise. Oh well, for now it is not! That is how I
choose to look at it. Now, I have had one helluva time with doctors.
Remember my original neuro? Well, I had switched to another and guess what.
He has an ego the size of Texas! Not to mention the fact he is not well
informed nor does he want to be about TM. His office, not him, sent me to the
hospital the other night because I had 8-9 seizures in a 2 day period. My
Tegretol levels were low and they sent me home. LOL, figures. On to the
neuro the next day and I waited 1 1/2 hours to see him. No biggie right? I
get in to his office and he spends 1 1/2 minutes asking me what was wrong.
Didn't even know I went to the ER nor did he have the results of the blood
work. The next 1 1/2 minutes were spent on gossiping about my old neuro!
What nerve, I thought. Then he took a personal phone call and for the next 12
minutes he gossiped about his secretary Debbie who didn't have the
assertiveness to so no to people and so and so is the number 1 seizure doc
hands down in western NY and how he needed so and so's backing to head up this
new clinic he was starting. LMAO, yeah right like he would do us any good!
Then more about Debbie and her woes! I got up and walked out as there was
definitely no end to his personal conversation! He wants to see
assertiveness? Send Debbie my way! Oh did I forget to mention the fact that
he blatantly watched me walk from behind! And no, not to check my gait, as it
is just fine folks. You ladies out there know exactly what it feels like to
be watched. What a LOSER! I did as one member did and called my Primary care
doc. He listened but feels I should go back to neuro number 1. Not on my
worst day I say. Although he agrees that I have not had the proper care, he
feels it was a misunderstanding that can be worked out. Well, when I am told
I need to be on a priority list, then he is not worth my time or money! So
here I sit without a neuro, again. I called the Epilepsy Assoc. here and my
counselor is setting up appts. for me to interview some neuros. I told her I
only want one that deals with TM and MS as well as the epilepsy. I want
someone who will listen and respect me and my health as well as someone who is
willing to learn about things they might not know too much of. I told my
Primary care doc, all of the info I have gotten off of the net and the list
that I found. His response, you really need to be careful about info you get
from the net HA! I in turn handed him all of the stuff I had printed about
TM, MS, and the info I have received from all of you. Well, over 200 pages
and he thanked me. We'll see if he is truly interested as he says he is. He
really knows nothing about TM and said he wanted to learn, so I helped his
hunger for learning. LOL! Like I cannot figure out what is useful and fact,
from irrelevant and fiction. He, in my opinion, is not familiar with the
Internet, therefore unsure of what is out there. My counselor at the Epilepsy
Assoc. told me that they have had "tons" of complaints about my first neuro
and his wife, that is his secretary. She is the one who told me it depends on
how high up you are on the priority list as to when I could get an appt.
We'll see how high up she will be when he doesn't have the money to no longer
support her life style. Boy, do I sound a bit angry here! Sorry guys it is
not usually me, just have had enough and want to be treated! Well, thanks all
for reading and lending me an eye!
