<<Well, the spinal tap is DONE! I had it done yesterday at the hospital,
with
fluoroscopy (real-time xray). It wasn't nearly as bad as I expected (of
course!). Today my lower back is sore, but I never got a headache like so
many people do. I came home and went to bed and only got up to eat a quick
dinner. I really felt like being out of bed but so many people say you need
to lay down to prevent the headache--and I decided not to take any chances.
LOL... There were several times that I felt lightheaded during the spinal
tap and thought I was going to pass out (not from the spinal tap--but from the
heat in the room and the the thought of the needle). I kept thinking of all
of you and the support I have gotten online and it helped me make it through.
And, Gunny, I did reach for your hand several times!
I am supposed to start on Avonex injections this week. Just in time for my
birthday! And I am supposed to give the injections to myself.... we'll see!
It's 5:42 a.m. and I guess I'd better get off here and get ready for work.
love you all!
